Why Virtual Internships are there to stay.

Virtual internships can offer those who can’t participate in a traditional office internship an opportunity to get valuable experience .during unprecedented times, like the current COVID-19 situation, being able to intern online will let you still work on growing your international career while you’re safe at home.

Even after pandemic is over and businesses return to operating as normal, many companies will still offer online internships and they will still be a key way to help you enhance your employability and career prospects.

As we navigate these unprecedented circumstances presented to us, we cannot ignore the impact the pandemic has had on the learning environment for young talent.

Organizations are learning and re-thinking ways to operate in a post-COVID world, work from home , work from anywhere or hybrid and flexible work environment reassures that online & remote  internships have now seamlessly integrated into new ways of working as frequent face to face meetings , International / In land travelling may not be as easy as before the pandemic due to social distancing norms.

The challenge, of course, is how to create a virtual internship that still offers a positive, meaningful experience for students, and allows companies to keep their recruiting strategies alive during tough times.
There are several reasons for this surge in popularity of remote / online internships, not the least of which include the benefits to both the employers and the interns themselves.
For an employer, a virtual intern can help cut costs, for the Intern a virtual internship can give him the opportunity to work in a field that would normally not be available to him for geographic reasons.

Duration

10 weeks   (10 weeks x 6 hours a week= 60 hours online)
Say approx.  30 sessions of 2 hrs each
Timing:  Monday – Wednesday – Friday, IST 2pm to 4pm
(Flexible if agreeable to all parties)

Costs Involved

We do not receive any funding from governments, religious bodies, political parties, development organizations, or other sources. The program fee therefore justifies our operative costs, however we always try to find possibilities to get best support that can be negotiated in favour of participants from the host company.

International Participants

Cost: US$ 950/participant,
             Enrolment of 3 Participants to-gather US$ 2550
             Enrolment of 5 Participants to-gather US$ 4150
             Payment of application fee (Non – refundable U$ 100 – deducted from program’s fee), 

Virtual Internship Program Enrolment Procedure:
  1. Interested participants will write / submit to us specifying their field of interest.
  2. Based on Participants choice we will send suggested program details.
  3. In case this internship involves University/ Institute`s credits, participants are required to send us approval from their institution in the prescribed form.
  4. Once the students and their University are satisfied with program and send us approval as well as acceptance, participant are provided a temp enrolment number.
  5. With the temp enrolment number students can pay the program fees and get enrolled, and the nearest possible date is awarded to them.
How Virtual Internship works
  • Once enrolled, Students will begin their Projects under the mentorship of both the Host- Company Mentor and Our Supervisor to ensure project and learning objectives are met.
  • We will provide weekly updates on Projects progress, Our Supervisor will be the core communicator between Students, the Host Company and the Institute / University if involved.
  • Upon completion of the project we will provide an outcome report to the Participant and the University through the email as given in their approval/ acceptance letter.

Postponement:  
Delay in starting the program or interim delays during the progress of the program are possibilities due to connectivity issues , issues due  to difference in time zones, logistics and transportation issues at the host company mentor / or at our supervisors location  due to lockdowns or guidelines as per local administration in the cities in question.

Cancellations:
Any cancellation of the programs confirmed by us due to unforeseen / unavoidable circumstances at our end or at the host company side, entitles the candidate to start this program at a later dates mutually agreeable to all.

Customized Virtual Internship Programs
These are generally designed in consultation with Participants to meet their exact needs It may also involve University Supervisor if University credits are based on this program and a suitable host company Mentor who can identify potential benefits to his organization as well as meeting the objectives of the program for participants.
This could relatively be a longer program but flexible in terms of number of hours, schedule, costs involved and work allocation within the group of the Participants.
Certain customised programs might attract sponsorship from the Host Company thus resulting in lowering the costs involved in the program.  To be more optimistic there might be possibilities to get these programs fully covered by the host company if the project deliverables can be quantified and justify immediate benefits to the Host Company and we succeed in negotiating this in favour of our participants.
